When I was growing up, I wondered if I would ever find another person named Lenaghan with my spelling. I did not know it at the time but it was something my brothers and my sister also wondered about. As we got older we traded stories of looking in the phone book when we were away on business to see if, by chance, there would be another Lenaghan in the particular city we were visiting. Sometimes we found one or two and they always had an interesting story to share; sometimes sad and lonely and sometimes very, very funny. Most often, we did not.

As the internet evolved, we all played with various search engines looking for the elusive relative. We actually began finding some. It seemed like a good idea to say something about our beloved parents, write something of our history for our grandchildren, unborn and unknown, so they would know something of their history. And even possibly meet other internet wayfarers looking for their history so we could share something along the way.

So here we are...welcome to the Lenaghan Clan Web Site. As you will learn, we started in New York City and are now in a number of states besides New York.
